My hero

One thing that I have always admired about Cort is his ability to do ANYTHING he puts his mind too and not just do it, but do it well. This past January he decided he was going to run a marathon, and so he started training and last weekend he did it! Not only did he do it, but he did it in awesome time. 3 hours 41 minutes, I couldn't have done it that fast if my life depended on it. Me and the kids met him at the finish line to cheer him on.

Cort so inpsired me running this race that we both signed up to run the St. George marathon together...WHAT??! SAY IT AIN'T SO, oh but it is!! And as crazy as it sounds I hope we get picked. I also hope that I don't die during the process of running it.

A boy and his sword

Everywhere Talan goes his sword goes with him. I kid you not. The other night I went in his room to tuck him in after he was asleep (see pic) his sword was on top of him, I moved it to the foot of his bed and put his blanket on him and left the room within seconds I heard him say "oh no! Where's my sword!" you just never know when you are going to need it I guess.

Story of his life

One thing is for sure Easton does not suffer from lack of love or attention around here. If he is laying on the ground I can almost guarantee that one of my other kids is right next to him. He is such a good sport about it, but really he doesn't know any different. This is how I found all three of my boys a couple mornings ago right after getting Tay off to school.

A couple Easter messages

This first one is from my sweet Taylor who drew this picture for the Easter bunny and left him a yummy treat. I couldn't help it I had to post it. Notice the carrot taped to the top....

The second one is a reminder of what Easter is all about. One of my all time favorite talks. How grateful I am for the Savior for His life and sacrifice. He is the way. Because of Him we can have joy and hope. I know that He lives and that He loves each of us very much.

Run Riverton Half Marathon: CHECK!

While out running a couple months ago I had a "great" idea, "I should run a half marathon." So, I began training 6 weeks out for the Riverton half. The whole week before the race everytime I thought of it I got butterflies. Two of my dear friends from high school agreed to run it with me. We seriously had SO much fun.

One of my favorite places to go

I am a girl who loves a good deal. Those who know me well know this. However, there is one thing that I LOVE to splurge on and that is treating myself to a little time at the Sanctuary Day Spa. I don't go nearly enough. Cort's mom and dad where here last week and his mom treated us girls (me and Tay and her) to a pedicure there. It was wonderful. If you haven't been there, go you won't regret it. And thanks again Luann for taking us there it was very much appreciated and fun.

Taylor's birthday part 2

As promised here's some pictures of us all celebrating Taylor's 7th birthday. I just hope and pray the next 7 years don't go by as fast as these first ones did!

When I got there Tay looked all sorts of nerve, I asked her what's wrong and she said she thought I forgot. AS IF!...her cute friend Paige took this picture of us.

On her actual birthday we took her and the boys at their request to Jungle Jim's, their favorite place EVER! I make sure to bring an extra big bottle of hand santizer with us whenever we go there. That place makes Chucky Cheese seem clean. Here's Tay on her favorite ride.

Ever since me and Tay went to a glitter toe party at my sister's she has been wanting to do this for her birthday. I put my own spin on it, and used some glitter from the scrapbooking store with some clear polish; it actually turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself. We also had the girls make bracelets and my sister came and did all the girl's hair. It was fun. Here's Tay with her some of her good friends that she met in kindergarten getting their pedicure. Such cute girls.

Tay and Rylee are only 11 months apart and niether of them has a sister, so I'm sure glad they have each other. We only live like 5 minutes apart. We love our cousins.

I have to say Thanks to the worldest's GREATEST aunts who came and made the party such a success. I meant to get a picture of them all together with Tay but....that didn't happen. OOPS. Seriously though they were/ARE amazing. Here's some pictures of them all in the background hard at work.
