These crazy kids. I believe their dad taught them this. We were getting ready to go swimming at my Aunt's house, and I came outside and found them doing this
Talan was full on doing it too, until I busted out the camera and then he decided he was done.

BUSY-bees
Us Welkers have been CrAzY busy the past two months, but I think our lives have FINALLY started to slow down. It's nice to start to feel like we are inching towards normal, whatever normal is! Here are a gazillion pictures of us enjoying the craziness that has been our lives the last little while....
Chase finished his 1st year of preschool! What a great experience it was for him. He had the cutest teacher Mrs. Heather and not to be confused with the other Ms. Heather. We carpooled with two very cute girls from our neighborhood who according to his teachers he was inseparable from, from playing outside to sitting by each other on the carpet. He also meet another cute little friend Jackson, that he loved playing with that I heard a lot about as well...
Tay's cheer recital took place the end of May. I am going to try and upload the video once I can get the cord I need out of storage, however don't hold your breath waiting for it because I have tried to upload a video before with no success....but I will do my best! Tay is on the left hand side of the video. She did such a great job and has really improved this year. She now has her back hand spring! GO TAY!!
My cute sisters and her after her recital
Spending sometime on the tramp for one of the last times before we packed it up ready to move. I just love this picture of the three of these kids. Even more so I love when I catch them playing so good together. I needed to take a picture so I could remember this moment and then post the picture here so it doesn't get lost in the endless amounts of pictures just sitting in my computer.
And here's my tree that I seriously considered bringing with us to Arizona. I nursed this baby from basically a stick with a couple leaves on it to this! It's still a work in progress....but I LOVE this tree! Plus, my dad got it for me. I am such a sentimental fool. Cort will laugh at me for posting this, but now it will at least live forever on my blog. :)
My dad got married! It was a wonderful day and I couldn't be more happy for him and his sweet Marian. She has just about one of the biggest and giving hearts of anyone I know. I already consider her family, good thing since I guess technically now she is! :)
After a month of packing we finally made it out of our house and over to my dads where we stayed for 3 weeks. I wanted Tay to finish 1st grade before we made our final descent to Arizona. At my dad's there were a lot of sword fights with the dragon, aka my dad, and games of ping pong played in the emptied out hot tub, along with a tea party thrown by Marian. We had a great time there and enjoyed every second we were together.

Tay finished 1st grade! YIKES. Tay really has grown a lot this year. She passed off her rocket math, which was actually quite a big deal and she has really become quite the little reader. Her brothers love to have her read to them. I asked her what her favorite subjects in school were and she said math and reading. She gets her math brains from her dad. Some of her favorite books that she has read are the Junie B books, a fairy series she really loved, and anything written by Kevin Henkins. She also earned her gold mustang. So proud of this girl!
Tay and Mrs. Joffs her first grade teacher. Couldn't have asked for a better teacher for her! We love her!
Me and the boys goofing around at Grandpa's waiting for Tay to get home, seems like we did this a lot for the first two weeks we were there.
About a month or two before we moved out of house one of our neighbors/friends on our street planned a magic show end of school party. (We miss our street SO much! It was really the best one in the neighborhood!!:) )We were so glad they did it while we were still there. The magician was hiliarious! And had ALL of the kids attentions from over a hour. It was great. Tay and Chase got a chance to go up and be his helpers. They loved it.
Finally we made it to Arizona after a 14 hour car ride! Yep, you read right what was suppose to be a 10-11 HOUR DRIVE turned into a 14 hour one, when we got detoured through the Grand Canyon as a result of the huge fire that had blocked our way through Flagstaff. But hey on a lighter note, we didn't have to pay to see it! Due to the fire they were letting people in for FREE. It really was beautiful, so green and majestic, we will have to go again sometime, next time on purpose though!

GOOD byes
Me and Cort have been married for almost 9 years. For 7 of those years we have lived in Herriman, Utah and we LOVED every second we were there. Oh, how hard it was to say good-bye....
Our last night in our first house
We will surely miss living in Herriman and being surrounded by family and friends. The past 7 years have been wonderful. Thanks to all for the memories.
